Free TCM Clinic Jointly Held, Free Herbal Medicine Provided to the Public

From February 22 to 23,2025, the Indonesian Harmony Culture Foundation (Indonesian Great Way Cultural Research Center-Confucius School) and Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine jointly held a meaningful TCM free clinic in Silatang Town, Riau Province, Indonesia, to promote traditional TCM culture, advocate TCM health concept, and provide herbal medicine for local residents free of charge. The event, which aims to advance traditional Chinese medicine culture, alleviate the pain of local people and promote physical and mental health, attracted more than 500 people to participate actively and received wide praise. Representatives of the local health department, members of the local parliament, a number of community leaders and people from all walks of life attended the opening ceremony.
The free clinic was guided by Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The free clinic team carried a variety of TCM equipment and herbs to ensure comprehensive TCM treatment and servicesfor local people.11 volunteer doctors from the Indonesian Harmony Culture Foundation actively participated in providing the public with a series of services conducive to physical and mental health, such as pulsing, acupuncture, cupping, ear acupuncture, bonesetting, massage, and herbal conditioning. The team also provided personalized diagnosis and treatment plans for local common and frequently-occurring diseases, for example, rheumatoid arthritis, back and leg pain, and digestive system diseases. At the event site, many patients' conditions improved significantly after receiving traditional Chinese medicine treatment.
IndonesianHarmony Culture Foundation and Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine said that the two sides will take this free clinic activity as an opportunity to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation, and jointly promote the spread and development of traditional Chinese medicine culture in Indonesia.The two sides will work together to apply for a special international cooperation project of China's Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine to build an Indonesian TCM center, so as to provide better TCM services for Indonesians and contribute to building a community of human health.
